Big Wahoo off Hillsboro Inlet
Whats Biting:
Local Charter boat landed 3 wahoo and 5 mahi off of hillsboro inlet. The largest Wahoo came in at nearly 60lbs.
Where:
Trolling the reef from 100-250ft of water off Pompano Beach
Conditions:
Moderate 3-5ft seas with a NE wind
Technique:
A 7 line trolling spread with 2 planers and 5 surface.
Tackle:
50’s conventional reels with braid on a planer rod
#4 for the long planer and #6 short planer
25’s conventional reels with mono for the surface line
Sea witch and Bonita strip combos
